Hello all! My name is Michel and I am a mother of a daughter who has Autism. Her name is Gracie. I would like to share my journey with you and give you a look into my world having  a child with Autism. This is a personal, real-life, non-edited account on how having a child on a spectrum has effected me and my family. As a parent who has a newly diagnosed child you will be scared, you will feel overwhelmed and at times you may not know what to do or who to turn to for help. It is my hope I can help you with all of that. I will talk about how to navigate therapy, the public school system and give resources to help you with your journey. The uniqueness about this blog is there will be a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst to address my blog and share with you different techniques of how to handle the behaviors Gracie has exhibited.  I hope this will help whoever is reading this feel some relief, maybe some joy and comfort in knowing help is out there.  You just may need a little help along the way. Someone once told me knowledge is power and they could not have been more correct.
